Dr. Suneetha’s Women’s Health Exclusive launched - Exclusively for Women with Diabetes

Dr. Suneetha’s Women’s Health Exclusive [DSWHE], a special wing exclusively for women with diabetes was inaugurated in the premises of DSDSC on 20-March-2011. This facility was launched to support women with diabetes.

The woman's body is wonderfully complex and delicate. However, multiple roles as the mother, daughter, wife, homemaker, wage earner can be physically and mentally quite taxing. As a woman with Diabetes, she might share some common health risks with men counterparts, such as heart disease, but because of their special reproductive role, they are also at risk of some distinctly female disorders.

DSWHE aims to support, educate and advice women with Diabetes on gynecological problems, Breast Problems, Pre Menstrual syndrome, Irregular periods, Heavy periods, No periods, Painful periods, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Infertility, Miscarriage, Pregnancy Care, Birth Control, Fibroids, Ovarian Cysts, Endometriosis, Menopause, Osteoporosis, Prolapse, Hysterectomy, Cystitis, Thrush, Vaginal Infections, Hair loss and Weight Control apart from Diabetes and medical care.

DSWHE is headed by an eminent Gynecologist Dr. M. Suneetha who is an Ex: coordinator for Apollo Cancer Screening Program and Consultant Gynecologist at Apollo Hospitals Chennai & Chittoor. With a focus on diagnosis and prevention, the centre will help women with diabetes achieve better health and wellness.
